Wednesday, February 17th, 6:30 p.m.: Mid-week prayer meeting. We will continue in our devotions from A Puritan Catechism. This week we will take a look at Question 27, “Of what did Christ’s exaltation consist?” Last week’s devotional message was from Question 26, “Of what did Christ’s humiliation consist?”
Saturday, February 20th, 1:00 p.m.: “The Sounds of Sovereign Grace” radio broadcast can be heard every Saturday afternoon on Grace Radio WGRW, 90.7 FM. This is a ministry outreach of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, taught by Brother John Hunter, and now, with occasional teaching from Brother Jon Cardwell.
Sunday morning, February 21st, 9:45 a.m., Sunday school begins with praises & choruses in the sanctuary, dismissing children and youth at 10:00 a.m. while audlts remain in the sanctuary.
The Children’s Sunday school are for those under 11 years and under and held in the educational center on the east wing of the building. The children are taught Bible truth using flanel graphic presentation, Scripture memorization, followed by a craft that reinforces the lessons learned.
Youth Sunday school classes are for those young people attending grades 7-12 or are ages 12-17. The youth class includes prayer, catechism recitation and memorization, and the verse-by-verse reading and study of Scripture. Brother Jon Cardwell teaches this class, and currently, we are studying the Gospel According to Luke. This class is held in the pastor’s office in the building just north and behind the main building.
Sunday morning, February 21st, 11:00 a.m.: We will continue our study of The Epistle of Paul to the Romans. Last Sunday’s message was entitled, “The Issue of the Israelites,”and our text will be taken from an overview of Romans 9-11.
Sunday prayer meeting is held in the nursery prior to the evening service on 5:30 p.m.
Sunday evening, 6:00 p.m.: We will continue our study in the Gospel of John, picking up our study where we left off in John 12. Last Sunday’s Bible Study was taken from John 11:45-57 in a message entitled, “That One Man Should Die.”
