This Week, July 27th – August 2nd

Wednesday, July 29th, 6:30 p.m.:  Our devotion will review the first six foundational questions and answers from our studies from A Puritan Catechism.

Sunday morning, August 2nd, 11:00 a.m.:  We will continue in our study of Paul’s Epistle to the Romans as we have begun walking verse-by-verse through that book of the Bible.  The morning message is entitled, “They Became Fools.”  The Scripture text is taken from Romans 1:22-27.

Sunday evening, August 2nd, 6:00 p.m.:  The evening Bible study continues in the Gospel of John.  The message is entitled, “Feeding the Multitude.”  The Scripture text is taken from John 6:1-14.

Sunday school classes for children, youth, and adults will begin at 9:45 a.m.

The Children’s Sunday school are for those under 12 years of age.  Kathy Hunter, wife of our elder and missionary John Hunter, teaches the children Bible truth using flanel graphic presentation, Scripture memorization, followed by a craft that reinforces the lessons learned.  Following singing of praises and choruses in the sanctuary, classes are held in the educational room of our building.

Youth Sunday school classes are for those young people attending grades 7-12 or are ages 12-17.  The youth class includes prayer, catechism recitation and memorization, and the verse-by-verse reading and study of Scripture.  Brother Jon Cardwell teaches this class, and currently, we are studying the Gospel According to Luke.  Following singing of praises and choruses in the sanctuary, classes are held in the pastor’s office behind the church building.

Adult Sunday school classes are held in the sanctuary.

Week of July 6th – 12th

Wednesday, July 8th, 6:30 p.m.:  Our devotion will continue through A Puritan Catechism.  In this week’s devotion we will look at “The Triunity of God.”  The Scripture text is taken from Romans 8:9-11.

There will be a regular business meeting immediately following the Wednesday evening prayer meeting.

Sunday morning, July 12th, 11:00 a.m.:  Brother John Hunter will be preaching during the morning service.  We will also partake of the Lord’s Table immediately following the morning message.

Sunday evening, July 12th, 6:00 p.m.:  The evening Bible study continues in the Gospel of John, chapter 5.  The message is entitled, “The Testimonies for Christ.”  The Scripture text is taken from John 5:31-47.
